Aluminium Thermal Metal Spraying
Swansea, Cardiff, South Wales

Molten zinc or aluminium is thermally applied to provide an excellent barrier against corrosion. Bernard Hastie can provide flame or arc spraying methods.
Metal Spraying offers many advantages over the conventional galvanising dipping process
- Low heat input, no distortion on small sections.
- Low heat input, no thermal metallurgical degradation.
- Sealed hollow sections fabrications can be treated without the need to drill holes to release gases.
- The process is not limited to Zinc. The coating material may be selected specifically for the environment.
- Coating thickness may be varied from place to place to provide extra protection in critical areas.
- There is no limit to the size of article which can be treated.
- Metal spraying is used to restore corrosion protection on damaged areas of welded galvanised steel.
- Metal spraying gives a smoother finish suitable for painting or powder coating than galvanising.
Arc Spraying
This method of spraying is also known as twin-wire arc spraying is a highly productive process of thermal spraying with lower running costs and is used to apply coatings of metals and alloys. Arc spraying can be used on many objects including lamp posts, cam shafts, exhaust systems and bearings to protect them from corrosion and to restore them.
Metal Spraying Gas Cylinders
We are able to metal spray any metal objects including gas cylinders which will keep them protected against corrosion and will restore them to look like new. Using this method we can undertake LPG refurbishment, refrigerant & special gases refurbishment and many more types of cylinders.
